This TEDx talk by Simon Sinek explains, in simple and appealing terms, how all of us can reframe how we look at our own enterprise, articulate it from an “inside out” perspective and in so doing reveal what is inspiring about it and drive people to take action to do it with us.
Watch the video and then come back to this post and try it out with me.

Here is my shot at my ‘Golden Circle’, as defined by Sinek:
Why do I do what I do? Because I believe that everyone deserves and can have a career that makes their heart sing.
How do I do that? I partner with professionals to build businesses that inspire them and enrich their lives; intellectually, emotionally and financially.
What do I do? I am a professional performance coach, focusing on business development for lawyers

People don’t buy what you do, or how you do it, they buy WHY you do it. What you do simply serves as the proof of what you believe.
People will want to work with you if you inspire them, if they believe what you believe and in why you do what you do.
What a great tool to use to build the business you want! It will help you articulate your brand promise and value, form the basis of your marketing messaging, help you identify the people you want to work with inside your practice and attract the clients you want.
Until next time!
